Important Updates & Events
1. We have a "regular" five day school week next week!
2. Dress for the weather! Looks like rain is coming...
3. If your child will not be at school during the last week of June, please email me! I will make sure I send all their items home beforehand.
Learning Updates
Literacy: Students learned about nonfiction text features and we did scavenger hunts of them in some books like Who Would Win series. We also wrote about them using Venn Diagrams.
Math: We continued learning about measurement, focusing on angles. We talked about obtuse, acute and right angles.
Social Studies: We started our last topic called "Citizenship"! This week, we talked about quality of life and volunteering. Students created a volunteer bingo to try to achieve!
Student Highlights
Mila said: On Thursday, it was the last day of gymnastics and we did Gymnastics Mission Impossible. I finished it a couple of times.
Guntaaj said: On Wednesday, Ms. Qi printed out our diaries and we cut each page out and if you could cut them out fast, Ms. Qi stapled and you could take your book and find another person who is done and read. I helped Xavier to cut out three of his last pages and put them in order!
Anshu said: On Thursday, we did a Volunteer Bingo and we had to fill the board with writing things that we will volunteer in the future, like saying please and thank you.
Aram said: On Thursday during recess, me, Eli, Salaar and Rayan and Matthew were playing soccer. We were playing, but then when we were playing, the teams were three versus two. The teams were me, Salaar, Eli versus Rayan and Matthew. They won by one point and tomorrow we will play again.
