May 4-8 Weekly Updates

Important Updates

1. Less than a week until our NLS FAMILY DANCE! Here is the link to purchase: click here. If you want more information, please see below!

2. Happy Mother's and Grandmother's Day! Have a wonderful weekend!

Learning Updates

Literacy: We are continuing story writing! This past week, we watched a wordless video and read a wordless book. Then we made the words to go with it. We also learned about dialogue and how to properly use them in stories.

Math: Students engaged in a few Math centres to review our number sense skills. Then we completed a Show What You Know. For some students, I have sent home their assessment sheets and notes for parents to review!

Science: At the Hangar Flight Museum, students learned about different types of airplanes, the various parts and how forces move it through the air. We also started two exciting Science projects! One is a storybook and one is an Indigenous medicine wheel poster.

Social Studies: Students learned about maps, legends and symbols during our field trip too!
