Important Reminders & Events
1. There is no school this Thursday and Friday due to Teachers' Convention! There's no school on Monday, February 16 either for Family Day. See you all back on Tuesday, February 17th!
2. Our class has earned a party because we filled our classroom jar! Next Friday, February 20th will be PJ, Stuffie and Movie Day in Ms. Qi's class! Great work, friends!
3. There was an email regarding our Grade 3 field trip this year. Please take a look and email me if you want to be a volunteer. There's still lots of time to get your police clearance cheque if you're interested.

Learning Updates
Literacy: Students continued practicing paragraph writing through opinions. We also focused on the book "Brave Like a Buffalo", and wrote about how we can show bravery. Students enjoyed writing kind sentences and descriptive words for their classmates too!
Math: Grade 3 students are working on strengthening their multiplication and division skills by practicing arrays and understanding special numbers like 1 and 0.
Science: We learned all about dinosaurs and fossils this week! Students researched about a dinosaur they're interested in and made a Google Slides presentation. Ask your child to show you on Google using their account.
