If you are bringing items, please bring enough for all students (26 students and 1 teacher). This is totally optional! For those that are not participating, there will be other activities to do too!

Learning Updates
Literacy: We continued our opinion writing and wrote many topics, including the best season or the best pet or what we think is the hardest school subject. Students also learned about homonyms, homographs and homophones!
Math: We started multiplication and division this week! Students talked about equal groups, arrays and fact families. We will continue to work on this for the upcoming weeks. Once we learn the multiplication table in a couple of weeks, I will be expecting students to practice memorizing the chart with factors up to 10 and 12.
Science: Grade 3s learned about human and animal changes that effect the Earth's surface. We also did a research project where students learned about one natural event in detail by themselves and then made a poster using the information they had. Some worked alone and some worked with a partner!
Art: Our focus was another one point perspective drawing but in a worm's eye view this time! Students tried their best to make it look like they are staring up at the buildings.
Student Highlights
Yui said: On Monday, in gym, we learned a new sport called curling. You slide the rock to the house and when all the teams are done, the other side will check the points and we will get a flag.
Kain said: In Math, we did division and multiplication.
Yoon said: On Monday in writing, we did "oreo" writing and we write about what is the best season like summer or winter or fall or spring. We also know that oreo cookies do not have dairy!
Guntaaj said: On Tuesday, we went with our Kindergarten buddies and we made a heart out of scrap paper. Me and my buddy made it and we used purple, pink, orange to make the three hearts inside of each other. At the end, we wrote our names and I got to read a book to my buddy and it was kind of good. It would've been better if we did something funner.
Ezleah said: On Thursday, we made a poster of a natural event. I did tsunami and I was working with Yui!
Charvi said: On Thursday, we made posters of different natural events and I did tsunami and I was working with Emma.
Idres said: On Thursday, we played the last curling game and we were playing like a competition to see who was first place, second place... My team got zero flags!
Mila said: On Friday, we had a guest teacher and we did a special activity where we went to different class. I went to Ms. Pham's class because it's her last day here. We also did art and it was worm's eye view.
