Important Updates & Events
1. Thank you to ALL the amazing parent volunteers for helping and supporting our class this year! Without you, nothing is possible.
2. On Thursday, June 18th, students will be participating in learning and making Bannock with our Kindergarten buddies! If you do NOT want your child to eat Bannock, please email your child’s homeroom teacher BEFORE the day itself. If your child IS allowed to eat Bannock, no action is required on your part.
We heard from CBE Transportation today that only 28 families have registered for the school bus for next year (out of the 157 families that needed the school bus this year). Early registration is essential to ensure your child can ride the bus to get to school and back at the start of the school year. Families who require school bus transportation for 2026–2027 must pre-register through their MyCBE Parent account. Registering this month is critical—families who miss the deadline may experience up to a six- to eight-week delay in accessing bus service while their child is being added to the system. (This means you would need to get your child to and from school without the bus for up to six to eight weeks while registrations get processed.) Avoid delays and ensure a smooth start to the school year by registering as soon as possible. Learning Updates Literacy: This week, we did some planning for our final writing piece. We will be writing a letter to our future Grade 4 teachers. Some students chose a story, some chose a narrative, and some chose nonfiction, others choose persuasive/opinion! Math: We are continuing to review math concepts. This week was focused on measurement and fractions! Art: Grade 3 students learned about Ron Gonsalves, who was a Canadian artist that did lots of illusionary art. Science: We are making our own Mystery Doug videos! Students worked in groups to write a script and make backgrounds with Google Slides. Next week, we will record the videos and watch them! |

Mila said: On Monday, outside in gym, we did this game where Mr. Newton puts cones out to make a big circle, and then makes a little circle inside with flags. And we line up on the outside where the cones area and each person of the team has to run into the middle and grab flags. But there's guardians around the castle but they can't go inside so you're safe inside.
Aram said: On Friday, we had a class party and it was tech time, and movie, and PJ and stuffie party. We got to eat popcorn and watch a movie. Me and Yoon got to lay down in my blanket and we got to use my stuffie as a pillow.
Neepseese said: On Wednesday, we did wet felting and I made a wolf and we had to use Ms. Muma's class because our class was being used for wet felting.
Eli said: On Friday, we got to do tech time and wore pajamas and have our stuffies and it was lots of fun. Me and Guntaaj did 3D pens but when the movie started, it was only Guntaaj joining in my blanket, but then when the movie was a couple of minutes in, then Idres started, and Salaar tried to join. He was able to join but Aram was trying to join but there was not enough space. It was basically a group. We did Blooket and I was second place.
Charvi said: On Friday, we got a class party because we filled up our class jar. We got to use iPads and computers and it was also movie, stuffie, pajama day. Aaliyah and I brought a blanket and we laid on Aaliyah's blanket and we used my blanket as a pillow because there was nothing to use as a pillow. Since we got bored while watching the movie, we played a Brain Booster.
