Dec 15-19 Weekly Updates

 Important Reminders

1. Winter Break starts December 20! I will see you all back on Monday, January 5.

2. There are some practice sheets on Google Classroom if you wish to work on some Math or writing over the break! Your child should know how to access it. If you need your child's username and password again, feel free to email me.

Learning Updates

Literacy: We did our best December monthly writing this week using procedural writing. It was about how to draw a gingerbread house or person. We also practiced more high frequency words, and wrote wishes for our families.

Math: Our focus this week has been all about solving addition and subtraction word problems. We have also been playing with money and practicing by earning money to buy gifts from Ms. Qi's gift shop! We will continue these important skills in January as well.

Social Studies: We learned about the different treaties in Alberta. We also learned about the Metis community.
